Realme 12 Pro series launched in India last month and included the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+. However, that won’t be the last in the series as we came across rumours and online listings regarding the Realme 12+ 5G, which is set to launch in Malaysia later this month. Now, Realme India has officially teased the arrival of a new phone and the tagline reads, “One More Plus. The ultimate value mid-ranger.” The handset in question could be the Realme 12+.

  • Without revealing much about the design and the hardware, Realme India has teased the arrival of a new phone.
  • There is a dedicated micrositeon the Realme website and the teaser images show a green colour hue.
  • The website shows a Realme 12 Pro-like leather finish, with a vertical strap in the middle
  • The handset in question could be the Realme 12+ 5G as the teaser image stresses the number ’12’ and says “One More Plus”.
  • The company is also saying the phone will feature ’12 upgrades unseen in the smartphone industry history.’
  • This teaser and official listing on the website comes after the brand confirmed the Realme 12+ and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will launch in Malaysia on February 29th

Realme 12+ 5G specifications (expected)

The teaser images shared by Realme Malaysia confirm a circular camera module on the back, flat edges and a new green colour image.

  • Display:Realme 12+ is tipped to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1800 × 2400 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor:The smartphone could be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor.
  • RAM and storage:Up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
  • OS: The phone is likely to boot Android 14-based Realme UI custom skin out of the box.
  • Cameras:50MP Sony LYT-600 shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. There could be a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
  • Battery:Realme 12+ is tipped to come with a 5,000mAh battery and 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support.

Realme 12+ 5G appears on TENAA

  • Realme 12+ 5G has been spottedon the TENAA certification website with the model number RMX3866.
  • The listing suggests the phone will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter.
  • The handset will be powered by an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 2.66GHz but the chipset details are not revealed.
  • The listing shows the phone would pack 6GB/8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/1TB storage options.
  • The Realme 12+ 5G is expected to measure 162.95 x 75.45 x 7.87 mm and weigh 190 grams.
  • The handset will have a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens, as per the listing. There could be a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
  • The Realme 12+ 5G could ship with a 4880mAh rated battery, which could be marketed as a 5000mAh cell.
  • The TENAA certification also includes images of the phone, which shows the phone would pack a circular module on the back to house triple camera sensors. The Realme 12+ 5G will have a leather back panel similar to the Pro models and there will be a metallic-vertical strap in the middle.
  • There could be a selfie shooter on the front placed in the punch-hole cutout. The volume rocker and power buttons might be on the right spine. The design is similar to the one spotted on the MIIT certification.
  • Realme 12+ 5G is tipped in the works, thanks to its multiple appearances online. The handset could be placed as a mid-tier model in the series, probably right below the Realme 12 Pro series. Now, while we wait to hear more from the company, the Realme 12+ has received China’s MIIT certification with the model number RMX3866. The global version has an RMX3867 model number. The MIIT certification reveals the design of the phone.
